How will you navigate your MCC?

For me, preparing for my MCC felt overwhelming, even isolating. When I went through the process, I spent over a year and a half in deep, focused development:

  • More than 20 hours of mentoring that still left me questioning my confidence

  • The hard work of unlearning habits from therapy and coaching

  • And the quiet challenge of doing much of it alone

That experience shaped the MCC Incubator.

This program is designed to give you what I didn’t have:

  • Focused Support — individual attention that helps you see your strengths and believe in your coaching.

  • Community — masterclasses of peers who inspire, support, and celebrate with you, as well as visiting MCC's and Thought Leaders.

  • Clarity — the ability to listen to your own coaching and know, with confidence, where mastery shows up and where it doesn’t.

The Purpose

The MCC Incubator is a space to do the real work of growing into mastery.

Over the course of our journey, we’ll spend time in practice together, coaching, listening, reflecting.

You’ll hear MCC demonstrations that passed and those that didn’t, and we’ll sit with the differences.

Bit by bit, you’ll develop the ability to listen to your own coaching and to others and recognize when the conversation is moving into mastery, and when it is not.

This isn’t about polishing techniques. It’s about slowing down, listening deeply, partnering with simple elegant questions, and learning to trust the thinker, the process, and yourself in the coaching seat.

Everyone in the program is hand-picked, so you’ll be learning alongside people who are equally committed to their development.

The purpose of the Incubator is simple: to give you the time, intentional practice, and support you need to stay committed to your journey and become the kind of coach who embodies presence, confidence, and authenticity... and who can hold space at the level of mastery.

And at the heart of it, what I want for you is this: when you submit for your ICF-MCC credential, you feel confident and clear. You have explored your coaching and your call and feel good about what you’re turning in. I want for you to understand when and why it's a MCC quality Coaching Conversation.

Support

Build Deep Connections. The Incubator is designed to bring together coaches who are committed to growing at the MCC level. Over time, you’ll find yourself in real relationship with others who are on the same path, people who will see you, hear you, and walk alongside you as you stretch and learn.

Your Cheer Squad. This isn’t about cheerleading. It’s about being in community with coaches who can offer thoughtful feedback, extend grace when the work feels hard, and genuinely celebrate the progress you’re making, whether it shows up in subtle shifts or big breakthroughs.

Hands On

Plenty of Practice. You’ll spend a lot of time actually coaching. Practice is where the real growth happens, and the Incubator gives you space to try, stumble, adjust, and strengthen your coaching presence.
Learning From Your Recordings. You’ll record your sessions and work with them closely. Over time, you’ll learn how to listen with a discerning ear, spotting where the coaching holds at the level of mastery and where it slips away. This practice of honest self-review builds confidence and deepens your ability to see what really matters in the work.

Live Calls

20 Masterclasses.
From January to November we gather, slow down, and look closely at the craft of coaching.

Deep Dive with Lyssa.
We’ll explore the MCC competencies in a practical way, listening to calls, pulling apart what worked, what didn’t, and why. These conversations are less about theory and more about how the competencies show up in real coaching.

Coaching Fishbowls. When it’s your turn in a coaching fishbowl, you’ll coach a thinker in front of the group. Before you begin, you’ll share what you’d like us to pay attention to in your coaching. After the session, you’ll receive reflections and feedback from the group.

Guest MCC Coaches and Coaching Thought Leaders.
At other times you’ll learn from guest MCC coaches who share their practice with us.

You’ll hear passing MCC calls and we’ll reflect together on the choice points, the lessons, and the small shifts that make the difference between good coaching and masterful coaching.

In other sessions you might learn from a Thought Leader in the Coaching sphere, to consider new ways of thinking about coaching.

Elevate Your Expertise

Listen Like an Assessor. You’ll learn to listen the way assessors do—tuning into what’s present in a coaching conversation, what’s missing, and how those choices line up with MCC-level competencies.

Work with RaeNotes. You’ll build comfort and fluency with RaeNotes, using it to review transcripts, mark competencies, and sharpen your eye for what creates impact in a session.

Build Steady Confidence. Over time, you’ll connect what you hear directly to the competencies, so you can approach each session with more clarity and trust in yourself as a coach.
