When SUPERVision is more than supervision

Coaching SUPERVision is about who you are "being" as a coach. It's about what you need to explore, acknowledge, and have compassion around so that you can show up fully with your clients.
It's also about rising above the situation and seeing it from a new vantage and perspective.

What is Coaching SUPERVision?

The Essence of Coaching SUPERVision
Think of Coaching SUPERVision as a co-creative learning journey that amplifies the skills and insights of the coach through intentional, reflective conversations. This enriching dialogue serves a dual purpose: it elevates your coaching capabilities while enhancing the outcomes for your clients.

Why Choose Coaching SUPERVision?
Coaching SUPERVision offers a dynamic platform for holistic professional development. In this supportive and confidential setting, you'll have the freedom to celebrate your triumphs and dissect your setbacks, all with the goal of mastering your client engagements.

By participating in Coaching SUPERVision, you're not just investing in your own growth—you're contributing to a higher standard of coaching excellence that benefits both you and your clients.

Why Coaching SUPERVision is Crucial for Team Coaching?
Team coaching is a high-stakes arena where dynamics are intricate and the pressure is intense. Research underscores the vital role that SUPERVision and structured reflection play in honing your skills as a team coaching practitioner.

If you're aiming for the ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching, you'll need to complete a minimum of five hours of guided SUPERVision with a qualified coach supervisor.

Coaching SUPERVision

This is not the type of supervision where someone supervises you and your work. Telling you what you should or should not do. Assessing if you are "doing it right."

This is your opportunity to explore with wonder and curiosity the relationship you have with your clients and your work. In SUPERVision, we get curious from multiple perspectives, about how we show up in the work we do.

Why Coaches need this?

When we work in the internal landscape of another human being, we need waypoints and anchors to support us and provide an external compass. We also need to be brave enough to look at what hooks us, where our judgments and biases show up, and get curious about how to create an open and safe environment for our clients and ourselves to thrive.

Available in individual or group sessions

Both group and individual SUPERVision offer powerful ways to explore your coaching. With individual work, you are completely focused on your own growth with Lyssa’s undivided attention to play with you in the sandbox of discovery. With group you get the benefit of learning with and from the experiences of your peers.

Why helping professionals need support too

When you work in the internal landscape of another human being, it is easy to find yourself having reactions and responses to the people and situations in which you work.

It is almost impossible to be unaffected by the situations, emotions, decisions, and experiences of your clients. Most people who come into the helping profession of Coaching, do so because of their empathy and care of others. You owe it to yourself first and then to your clients to have a place where you can do the work that allows you to cleanly hold the space for your clients.

Coaching SUPERVision offers a beautiful and compassionate way to explore your relationship to the work that you do. And, to find your tribe of practitioners to support you to be a healthy happy coach.

Self-Awareness

Coaching is more than a skill—it's an art form that requires constant learning, self-awareness, and finesse. No matter how experienced you are, there's always room for growth. That's where Coaching SUPERVision comes in.

Coaching for Coaches

Consider this your 'coaching for coaches.' It's an extra layer of professional support, providing you a confidential space to reflect on your practice. Under the guidance of a SUPERVision partner, you'll explore new perspectives, identify blind spots, and fine-tune your methods. It's like holding up a mirror to your coaching style—one that reveals not just what you see, but what you've been missing.

What do people say about working with Lyssa?

This course was truly a gift!

Not only did I grow as a coach to better serve my clients, but I also grew as an individual. It expanded my knowledge of the neuroscience of language/metaphors and how they enhance our perception of the world. I notice metaphors so often after this course :) Making conversations a lot easier and interesting.

Do it!

This course will make you a better coach and better listener, and you will be part of an awesome network of like-minded coaches from whom you can learn. That’s been one of the most enjoyable parts of the course - the connections built with other talented coaches from literally all over the world. And that provides different perspectives on the readings and coaching examples Lyssa has put together for the course. It’s all learning!

Frequently asked questions

Is there a timeframe for using Individual SUPERVision sessions?

When you purchase Individual Coaching SUPERVision, there are time frames in which to complete the work.
  • 3 Sessions of SUPERVision gives you four months to complete the three sessions.
  • 6 Sessions of SUPERVision gives you seven months to complete the six sessions.
  • 12 Sessions of SUPERVision give you 13 months to complete the Coaching SUPERVision.

Group SUPERVision what should I expect?

Group SUPERVision is typically scheduled so that there are 6-8 coaches. We meet monthly for 2 hours over 6 months. In that time we explore what is showing up for each coach and then pick a couple of topics to explore as a group.
Because this is a group, if you miss the session, you miss the session.
We do not record Group Supervision for later viewing.

If I want the SUPERVision, do I get any ICF CCE's?

YES! The ICF allows you to use up to 10 SUPERVision hours as Core Competency CCEs for each Credential renewal period.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds are available for purchases over $50 within fourteen (14) days unless the digital material has been accessed. If you change your mind about the product and have not accessed the material, there is a $50.00 fee to cover bank charges. There are no refunds if you have accessed the digital material, downloaded documents, or watched videos. We can discuss moving you to another program/course within the year in limited cases.
